The federal government has appointed a guardian to make sure the issues of Jersey well being staff are heard.

Ashling McNevin, a social employee, will function the island’s first “freedom to talk up guardian”.

The function is aimed toward guaranteeing employees inside Well being and Group Providers can elevate issues anonymously to assist enhance the system.

It was created in response to a 2022 evaluate of governance and high quality of care at Jersey Normal Hospital.
